In celebration of our 40th anniversary, we'll be sharing nostalgic flashbacks throughout the year. This month, let’s take a look at how The Air Charter Guide evolved and grew by region while tweaking format and data. On the cover from 1988, we see Chuck Spencer, CEO of HubExpress Airlines, “giving the keys” to Carolyn Moore of the Boston law firm McDermott & Rizzo after The Air Charter Guide donated three hours of helicopter time to a new business user on behalf of one of its advertisers. This edition moved to a “City-Listed Format” while operators like Clay Lacy started to update their fleet and contact information on a regular basis with us. A 1989 cover of The Air Charter Guide notes the addition of “Europe” to the directory, an important next step in the pursuit of the “North Atlantic Route.”
