Nonprofit to Recognize Industry Leaders for Work Combatting Human Trafficking

At the National Business Aviation Association’s Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition (NBAA-BACE), a nonprofit focused on helping victims escape human trafficking will recognize two industry leaders for efforts to stop what has become one of the fastest growing criminal activities in the world.

Flights to Freedom will award its Clay Lacy Friendship Medal at NBAA-BACE in Las Vegas on Wednesday, Oct. 15. The recipients, the first to receive the award, will be recognized for outstanding support in raising awareness for the Flights to Freedom mission.

Flights to Freedom flies human trafficking survivors to their loved ones or transports them to support groups. The organization partners with federal and state law enforcement agencies, Child Protective Services and general aviation.

Human trafficking occurs in all 50 states and is estimated to be a $150 billion-a-year global industry.
