NBAA Welcomes House Approval of Bills to Strengthen US Aviation Leadership

The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) applauds the House of Representatives for passing four bills that will strengthen America’s leadership in aviation, including one that would allow the return of supersonic flights. The supersonic bill (H.R.3410) would require the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to issue new rules allowing civil supersonic flight in the U.S., as long as the aircraft is operated to ensure that no sonic boom reaches the ground. The U.S. has not allowed supersonic flights since 1973.
