Jet Aviation Launches Automated Drone and AI Technology for Aircraft Inspections in the US
/Jet Aviation has announced the launch of its automated drone and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology for non-regulated inspections in the United States. These inspection reports aim to enhance the accuracy of existing services, including Pre-Purchase Inspections (PPIs) and inspections related to insurance or warranty cases. The company first introduced automated drone and AI technology for non-regulated inspections at its MRO hub and global headquarters in Basel, Switzerland, in 2023. This initiative was developed in collaboration with Donecle, a provider of drone and AI technology for the aviation industry. In 2024, the process received approval from the Swiss Federal Office of Civil Aviation (FOCA) for General Visual Inspections (GVIs) using images.
