NOTAMS Prohibit Non-scheduled Services at 12 Major U.S. Airports

Due to the ongoing US government shutdown which has led to numerous pressures on federal programs, including significant staffing shortages, the FAA has issued NOTAMs to prohibit non-scheduled services at the following airports from November 10, 2025:

Chicago O'Hare (KORD); Dallas Fort Worth (KDFW); Denver (KDEN); Boston Logan (KBOS); Houston Bush Intercontinental (KIAH); Atlanta (KATL); John F. Kennedy (KJFK); Los Angeles (KLAX); Newark (KEWR); Phoenix (KPHX); Washington National (KDCA) and Seattle-Tacoma (KSEA).

There are limited exceptions for based aircraft, as well as emergency, medical, police/fire services and military activity.

The ACA encourages members to stay up to date with the latest news from the FAA, as restrictions are subject to change and members should be prepared for the potential of further disruption. It is hoped that a resolution to the US government shutdown is in sight, with an initial agreement to resolve the federal funding gap passing the Senate yesterday.

The ACA is following these developments closely and will advise members accordingly.
