NBAA Welcomes Former NH Gov. Chris Sununu as New A4A CEO
/The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) welcomes former New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu as the new president and CEO of Airlines for America (A4A). He will assume the position on Sept. 9 from Nick Calio, who served in the role for 15 years.
From 2017 to 2025, Sununu was governor of New Hampshire, a state with more than 200 incorporated towns, many of which include rural areas served by general aviation.
“Chris Sununu is a widely respected and highly successful governor who will be a powerful voice for aviation in the United States and around the world,” said NBAA President and CEO Ed Bolen. “We look forward to working closely with him as A4A, NBAA and over 50 other aviation associations advocate for our shared priorities, including the transformation to a brand-new air traffic control (ATC) system, through the Modern Skies Coalition.”
Bolen continued: “As Gov. Sununu takes the left seat at A4A, NBAA congratulates Nick Calio on his remarkable tenure at the association. We are particularly grateful for his leadership in uniting the industry in the Modern Skies effort.”
NBAA, A4A and the Modern Skies Coalition collaboratively advocate for a comprehensive upgrade of the nation’s ATC system that serves approximately 55,000 flights every day.
