magniX Expands Beyond Aerospace with New Board Leadership and Electric Age Solutions
/magniX, the producer of the industry’s leading flight-tested powertrains for electric aircraft, has announced updates to its strategic direction and Board governance. The company plans to broaden its applications beyond aerospace to develop solutions for the electric age. To support this strategy, magniX has also announced new appointments to its Board.
H3: Industry-Leading Electric Aviation Technology
magniX has developed the leading fully-integrated powertrain for electric aviation. Its product line includes a range of electric engines that have powered more than 200 flights across six different airframes, Samson batteries, magniDrive power electronics, and PDX800 power distribution units.
H3: Expanding Aerospace Products to New Growth Opportunities
Designed to meet the rigorous standards of aerospace certification, magniX’s batteries, inverters, and power distribution units deliver unmatched energy density, cycle life, and advanced safety features. Built on an 800-volt architecture, the company’s technology is now being applied to deliver energy storage systems, motor and power generation capacity across mission-critical situations where lives and hardware are at risk. Key use cases include data centers, mobility, defense, and space.
While expanding into new industries, magniX will continue its work in aerospace, where it remains the industry leader. The company is currently working towards the first flight of the Bye Aerospace eFlyer 2, powered by Samson batteries.
H3: New Board Leadership
Two senior executives from the Clermont Group, magniX’s parent company, have been appointed to new roles to strengthen the company’s governance. Neil Perry, Head of Clermont Capital, has joined magniX as Executive Chairman, while Sean Gardiner, Managing Director at Clermont Capital, has been named Executive Director.
