IW Aviation Delighted to Win AC-U-KWIK Prize Again at ACA Spring Lunch in London

At the annual Air Charter Association (ACA) Spring Lunch at the magnificent Guildhall in London on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, the winner of the raffle prize donated by Air Charter Guide was, coincidentally, Samanda Omanovic, a Malta-based flight manager for UK-based IW Aviation. The prize was a one-year AC-U-KWIK Premium subscription worth $1,200.

Ian Sheppard, Senior Researcher for AC-U-KWIK at Aviation Week by Informa, based at Fairoaks Airport near London, said, “Samanda was completely shocked but also delighted and told me she had found the AC-U-KWIK Premium subscription ‘incredibly useful’ since first winning a one-year subscription at the 2025 ACA Spring Lunch at the same venue.”

Sheppard is part of the Aviation Week Network by Informa and also proudly represents The Air Charter Guide, a member of ACA. The Air Charter Guide celebrates its 40th anniversary this year and continues to grow its audience on all platforms.

ACA Chairman Kevin Ducksbury told attendees at the Guildhall that the raffle prize money would be donated to UK charity Fly2Help, ACA’s official charity. Based at Gloucester Airport, Fly2Help introduces family groups going through challenging times to the “power and wonder of flight” through Air Smiles Days, while aiming to “spark bright futures for young aviation enthusiasts” through its Aim High program.

Fly2Help Chair of Trustees Mark Knight announced that the total raised at the 2026 ACA Spring Lunch was £3,800 (US$5,000). He added that the next Air Smiles Day would take place on the Saturday following the ACA lunch at Bournemouth Airport, hosted by the XLR Jet Centre.

A range of other raffle prizes were won at the ACA lunch, including:

  • An Apple iPad (donated by AEG Fuels)

  • A helicopter sightseeing flight (donated by Magna Aviation)

  • A golf day at the famous Wentworth course near London (donated by Transfer Connex)

  • A Selfridges voucher (donated by Universal Aviation)

  • A magnum of champagne (donated by Niche & Bespoke Catering)

The main event sponsors were Jetex, Worldpay (now Global Payments), IW Aviation, MaceAero, and RVL Aviation.

In his opening remarks, Ducksbury highlighted that the event took place against a backdrop of the war in the Middle East and reflected that, in these difficult times, business aviation is there to help, especially with airlines facing considerable ongoing uncertainty.

While the popular image of business aviation is one of luxury and privilege, this is far from the reality for most flights, which range from emergency evacuation and air ambulance services to a variety of other uses, dominated by charter operations primarily for business purposes.

ACA now has more than 440 members from over 60 countries and is adding an average of six new members each month.
