Hop-A-Jet Marks 50 Years with Landmark Gathering at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport

Hop-A-Jet Worldwide Jet Charter celebrated its 50th anniversary on April 25, welcoming over 300 guests to its headquarters at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (KFXE) for an evening honoring five decades of aviation excellence, innovation, and industry leadership.

The event brought together clients, business partners, current and former employees, crew members, and longtime friends of the company for a memorable evening reflecting on a journey that began in 1976 and grew into one of South Florida's most respected names in private aviation.

Set against the backdrop of Hangar 68, one of Hop-A-Jet’s own hangars at Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport (KFXE), guests enjoyed aircraft displays, live entertainment, premium food and drinks, and the opportunity to reconnect with colleagues from across the aviation community. Among the evening's highlights was a static display of a Learjet 35, recognizing the aircraft type that played a pivotal role in establishing the company’s fleet during its early years.

The gathering provided an opportunity to reflect on the company's growth while recognizing the customers, employees, and partners who have contributed to Hop-A-Jet’s 50-year journey. Stories were shared across generations of aviation professionals, creating an atmosphere that felt as much like a reunion as a corporate event.
