Universal Aviation Guadaljara (MMGL)
How would you describe your facilities for customers?
Our facilities are designed to provide passengers with a private, comfortable, and efficient experience from arrival to departure. Our FBOs in Toluca and Guadalajara are designed to provide passengers with a private, comfortable, and efficient experience.
Universal Aviation Toluca is one of our key operational hubs in Mexico. In addition to its executive passenger facilities, it is supported by our 24/7 Operations Control Center, which coordinates services throughout our network of more than 65 supported airports across the country.
Our new Universal Aviation Guadalajara FBO represents the next stage of our growth in Mexico. It offers customers a modern facility supported by an experienced local team and the consistent service standards of our global network.
At both locations, our priority is to provide a welcoming environment, personalized attention, and a smooth transition between the aircraft and the passenger’s final destination.
How would you describe your facilities for the flight crew?
Our Toluca and Guadalajara FBOs provide flight crews with comfortable areas where they can rest, prepare for their next flight, and remain connected while our teams coordinate their operation.
In Toluca, crews also benefit from the support of our 24/7 Operations Control Center, which serves as a centralized point of coordination for fuel, ground handling, permits, customs and immigration, catering, transportation, and other operational requirements throughout Mexico.
In Guadalajara, crews receive direct assistance from our experienced FBO team, supported by Universal Aviation’s wider Mexico and international network. At both locations, our objective is to give flight crews a reliable point of contact and allow them to focus on the safe and efficient continuation of their flight.

What concierge services do you offer?
Our concierge services include hotel reservations, ground transportation, catering, restaurant recommendations and reservations, rental cars, and assistance with special passenger or crew requests.
We can also coordinate permits, customs and immigration requirements, fuel, parking, and other operational services. Our objective is to provide a seamless experience, allowing passengers and crews to focus on their journey while we manage every detail on the ground.
What makes your services different from other FBOs or handling services?
What differentiates Universal Aviation is the combination of strong local expertise and the support of a global network. We do not simply provide individual ground services; we oversee the complete experience and act as a trusted local partner for operators and flight crews.
Our teams understand the regulatory, cultural, and operational requirements of each destination. We also provide continuity through our network of more than 75 locations across over 20 countries.
Customers receive personalized local attention while benefiting from global service standards, centralized coordination, and commercial agreements that can cover multiple destinations. In Mexico, our 24/7 Operations Control Center provides customers with a single point of contact for more than 65 supported airports.
What unusual handling request could you share with the reader?
Some of the most challenging requests involve last-minute international operations requiring permits, customs and immigration coordination, parking, fuel, transportation, and special passenger arrangements—all within only a few hours.
One particularly interesting type of request is coordinating a single operation involving several countries and Universal Aviation locations at the same time. These missions require constant communication among teams in different time zones.
What may appear impossible initially can often be accomplished through teamwork, strong relationships with local authorities and suppliers, and proactive communication with the customer. These are the situations in which the strength of our global network becomes especially valuable.

What does the future look like for your company?
The future of Universal Aviation is focused on strengthening our global FBO and ground-handling network, expanding our presence in strategic markets, and continuing to provide a consistent customer experience across different regions.
In Mexico, we are reinforcing our operations through our Toluca FBO and 24/7 Operations Control Center, our network of more than 65 supported airports, and our new Universal Aviation Guadalajara FBO.
Across Latin America and the Caribbean, we continue developing long-term relationships with operators and trip-support companies that value local expertise, reliable service, and global coordination.
As part of Evans Aviation, we are entering a new stage centered on growth, investment, and a clear identity as a global FBO and ground-handling network.
How did you get into aviation?
I joined Universal in 2013 and began my career supporting international flight operations through Trip Support. I later worked with UVair fuel services and eventually transitioned into Universal Aviation Mexico.
This experience allowed me to understand aviation from several perspectives, including operational coordination, fuel, customer service, commercial development, and FBO and ground-handling operations.
Today, as Senior Account Manager for Latin America and the Caribbean, I help operators connect with our network and work closely with our teams to ensure that every customer receives dependable and personalized support.
Aviation became much more than an industry for me. It taught me that every flight represents a commitment, a purpose, and a group of people depending on us to make the operation happen.
Fun stories or narrative to share
One of the most rewarding things about aviation is that no two days are ever the same. A normal morning can quickly turn into an urgent request involving a last-minute permit, unexpected parking limitations, a schedule change, or a passenger who needs to reach an important meeting.
There have been many occasions when customers contacted us believing that there were no alternatives left. By bringing together our local teams, international offices, airport authorities, and trusted partners, we were able to find a solution.
The most satisfying moment is receiving a message confirming that the aircraft departed successfully and that the passengers reached their destination on time.
Those experiences remind me that aviation is ultimately a people-driven business. Relationships, communication, and trust are often what make the difference.
