FAI Aviation Services DMCC Wins Best Air Ambulance Provider Middle East
/FAI Aviation Services DMCC, a leader in mission-critical aviation services, has been honored as the ‘Best Air Ambulance Provider Middle East’ at the Middle East Aviation Innovation Awards 2025.
During a gala evening coinciding with the Dubai Air Show, Barbara Baumgartner, Managing Director of FAI in Dubai, accepted the award alongside Michael Axtmann, Managing Director of Germany’s FAI Technik. The event took place aboard a mega yacht with international industry peers.
"It was terrific to celebrate with our guests and industry colleagues. This is a solid endorsement, once again, for our dedicated and brilliant team who work so hard," said Barbara Baumgartner.
Medevac Aircraft Demand Rising in the Middle East
The awards marked the conclusion of FAI’s successful debut at the Dubai Air Show, where discussions in the exhibition hall focused on the growing need for medevac aircraft in the region, particularly in Saudi Arabia, where many new airports are opening. “The Middle East is a very important market for FAI. Owning our aircraft fleet outright is a unique selling point for the FAI Group. We don’t have to wait for owner permission to dispatch a medevac or charter aircraft,” said Baumgartner, who has several leads to follow up on after the show.
FAI also emphasized the importance of its close relationships with medical professionals and hospitals worldwide, particularly in the Middle East, where cultural sensitivities are a key consideration.
FAI’s VIP air ambulance and air charter missions, performed by dedicated Bombardier Challenger and Global aircraft, account for approximately 20% of the company’s operations in the Middle East. This month, the company will add a Bombardier Global 6000 to its fleet, followed by two Learjet 60XRs in January.
