Sun Air Jets | Line Service Technician
/Sun Air Jets, a full service FBO in Camarillo, is seeking a Line Service Technician. Sun Air Jets is an industry leader in the performance of corporate jet support services. The company delivers a wide variety of services tailored specifically to business jet owners including aircraft management, on demand charter, aircraft fueling, hangar storage, and jet maintenance.
Position Description:
The Line Service Technician provides basic service to the aircraft such as marshaling, towing, fueling, changing lavatory fluids, replenishing ice, water, and papers. The Line Service Technician must have a professional demeanor and excellent communication skills interacting with customers, receiving instructions, confirming details, assisting with baggage, etc. We are seeking candidates with friendly and outgoing personalities who have experience working outdoors with heavy equipment, experience providing quality customer service, the ability to work flexible hours as needed, and a desire to work in an aviation setting.
Essential Job Functions:
• Marshaling aircraft through arrivals and departures, moving aircraft
• Providing basic service for aircraft, e.g., fuel, oil, lavatory, water, etc.
• Driving vehicles in areas congested with moving and stationary aircraft, vehicles and equipment
• Transporting clients
• Greeting pilots, passengers and crew members
• Assist with customer service duties as needed
• Ensure hangars, tarmac and client areas are kept clean and orderly
• Ensuring a safe environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Other duties assigned by the Line Service Manager
Work Environment
The employee will work outside on an airport ramp, inside aircraft hangars, and occasionally inside and around the office buildings. Employee will experience various degrees of aircraft noise and weather conditions.
Required Qualifications:
• Must have the ability to work with a variety of equipment and vehicles
• Must have a valid driver's license and approved driving record
• Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
• Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, prior aviation experience preferred
• Prior experience with NATA's Professional Line Service Training is preferred
