The facility is authorized to perform line maintenance on a range of business aircraft. Jet Aviation launched line maintenance in Zurich in May 2022, under a temporary extension of the company’s Basel site authorizations. Following a successful audit by FOCA in early 2023, the facility is now fully approved for line maintenance on a range of business jets.

But, unlike other next-gen designs involving electric propulsion and heavy batteries, her project will be a tandem tiltwing design, with gearing allowing for forward flight and hover. This simplification means that, subject to funding, a full-scale prototype could be ready within two years.
